Find Your Perfect Yacht

Work through a few simple decisions — the kind of charter, the yacht type, and how it’s run — then search the collection or let a broker shortlist the right yachts for you.

How to Choose the Right Yacht

A great charter comes together through a few clear decisions. Work down the page in order — the kind of charter you want, the style of yacht, and how it’s run and catered — then use the search to find matching yachts, or let a broker shortlist them for you.

Charter type & purpose

Start with what the charter is for. A family holiday, a corporate programme, or simply a week away all shape the yacht, the crew and the itinerary in different ways.

Yacht type

Sailing catamarans, power catamarans, motor yachts, monohulls and superyachts each suit different groups, budgets and cruising grounds.

How it’s run

A Crewed charter includes a professional captain and crew who run the yacht and look after you; Captain-Only pairs you with a professional captain while you keep things relaxed and informal; Bareboat puts a suitably qualified guest at the helm with no crew aboard.

Not sure where to start?

You don’t have to weigh every variable alone. Tell a broker how you like to travel and they’ll narrow a wide field down to a short list that genuinely fits.

Step 3

Crew & Meal Arrangements

Decide how the yacht is run. Crewed charters are our primary offering; Captain-Only and Bareboat are separate service arrangements.

Meal Plans on a Crewed Charter

On a crewed charter, how meals are handled is part of the experience. Two common approaches — exact inclusions vary by yacht and are confirmed from each yacht’s official information.

Full Board

The flagship crewed experience — the crew provisions and prepares meals aboard throughout the charter, so dining is fully taken care of.

Half Board

An alternative meal plan within a crewed charter: some meals are enjoyed aboard while others are taken at authentic local restaurants ashore — a relaxed way to combine onboard dining with island flavour and to support the communities you visit.

Step 4

Why Use a Charter Broker?

Rather than sifting through hundreds of listings alone, you work with a broker who knows the yachts, the crews and the destinations — and matches you to the charter that actually fits.

  • First-hand inspections Brokers see yachts in person — at boat shows, on the dock and aboard — so a recommendation rests on more than a listing photo.
  • Crew & operator relationships Long-standing relationships with crews and operators mean a broker understands how a yacht really runs and who looks after guests well.
  • Destination knowledge Time spent in the cruising grounds turns a long list of options into a short list that genuinely suits how and where you want to sail.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a crewed yacht charter cost?

Crewed charter pricing varies widely by yacht size, age, crew, destination, season, and level of luxury. In the BVI and Caribbean, many quality crewed catamarans fall somewhere between the mid-five figures and six figures per week. We will help you understand the real total cost before you book.

Is the advertised charter fee the total price?

Usually not. The advertised charter fee is generally the starting point rather than the final cost. Depending on the yacht, destination and charter agreement, additional expenses may include APA, fuel, provisions, marina fees, local taxes, permits and crew gratuity. Understanding these variables before booking allows you to compare yachts more accurately and budget with greater confidence.

How far in advance should I book?

For the best yachts and holiday weeks, book 6-12 months ahead. Christmas, New Year's, spring break, and peak winter BVI dates can sell out early. Last-minute charters are sometimes available, but your choices will be more limited.

Are crewed charters good for kids?

Yes, many yachts are excellent for families. We help match families with suitable crew, safe layouts, kid-friendly activities, and appropriate cabin arrangements. Some yachts have minimum age rules, so we verify this before booking.
